Turbo Flatty: 1983 Mitsubishi Starion

The Mitsubishi Starion/Dodge Conquest/Plymouth Conquest/Chrysler Conquest was a line of 4 cars built in the 80s by Mitsubishi in Japan - rebadged for Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler to confuse everyone.  It was the Japanese version of a pony car and combined a turbocharged front engine, manual trans, rear wheel drive and limited slip differentials for classic fun.  Contrary to popular belief the name Starion was not an Engrish mispronunciation of Stallion, but it is a contraction of the words Star of Arion -- which was a mythical horse.  It would be easy to compare a nice version of the Starion to a Mustang, Camaro, Porsche 944 or RX7 and it is certainly a less common alternative to the other common 2+2s you see around on the road. Find this 1983 Mitsubishi Starion offered for $5500 in Rochester, NY WA via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

1983 MITSUBISHI STARION TURBO. This is a one owner car with 112K miles. Always garaged and is in great running condition. A 2.6 ECI fuel-injected 4 banger Turbo. 5 speed Manual Transmission. All receipts for service and repair. Recently, (last two weeks) the car has been serviced by a local auto shop. The condition of the car is good and looks to be in great condition for a 37 year old car. lots of pictures of the entire car. There is some rusty bubbles on the top roof of the car but that seems to be all there is. Undercoating on the car is fantastic and there are a few dings on the doors as well as the front spoiler having a go with parking curbs. The price is 5,500.00 and can be view if need be in person. The car is located 1 mile east off I-5 in grandmound rochester area. I'm selling the car for my Mom. FYI, Mom has an emotional attachment to the car so I'll be the one to deal with! Thanks for your understanding. If the Milage doesn't show on the info its 112K.

See a better way to drive a star of arion?

  1. Car look's to be in Wa. not NY i like the single color ones not this tommy tutone version.

    1. Derp...not gonna win any webbys with this kinda typo. Lemme fix.

    2. I like these in general and for some reason the 2 tone tickles my fancy. If I didn't already have a project this could get me to go to Washington.

  2. I love the two tone. In fact, I had one just like this one. And if I had the funds I would buy this one in a heartbeat.
