Don't Mention It: 1973 Ford Maverick

I am going to try and write a feature without mentioning the coronavirus...arggg...I already broke that promise by even mentioning the thing.  Okay, rewind...let's try again.  The Ford Maverick was sold starting in 1970 as a replacement for the oldschool Falcon and it sold in decent numbers through 1977 when it was replaced with Ford Granadas/Fairmonts using the Fox-body platform.  I have a soft spot in my heart for these things because they were cheap drivers for years and still are!! Find this 1973 Ford Maverick offered for $4200 in Phoenix, AZ via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

From the seller:

  1. I drove a 1956 Meteor (Ford) sedan delivery with 3 in the tree and 260 ci V8 as my 2nd car and still have soft spot for it. It never left me stranded and we had lots of adventures together, despite the fact that it had no direction signals and I had to use my arm in sub-zero weather. That does not mean I would want to buy one now?

  2. Seem's Bloated for pure muscle..YGFK

    1. I believe they're actually a little smaller than the Falcon, at least in two door form. Possibly a bit heavier due to crash standards, though.

Looks like it's wearing a Comet hood and front turn signals.
