Mini Cooperino: 2002 Mini Cooper S Truck

Whenever I run into a late model Mini Cooper pickup truck (Cooperchero...Minimino?) it is usually one of the RedBull promotional vehicles that has been stripped of its giant can of caffeine and ground bull testes...but those ex-RedBull cars are all automatics, so it is nice to find a Mini Cooperino that has both an S logo and a manual gearbox. Find this 2002 Mini Cooper S Truck offered for $4950 in Laguna Niguel, CA via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

 From the seller:

2002 MINI COOPER S
VIN: WMWRE33462TD50291
condition: good
cylinders: 4 cylinders
fuel: gas

odometer: 83577
paint color: grey
title status: clean
transmission: manual

This is a low mileage 2002 MINI COOPER S R53 custom truck. A custom body shop did the conversion. My Dad was the original and only other owner. It has been well maintained. Clean title. No accidents. Four (4) new tires, a new Kenwood stereo (w/ blue tooth, Sirius XM, Pandora, terrestrial, iHeart, USB port, etc.) and four (4) new speakers. I have receipts. It has a supercharged (forced induction) engine. This was the first year of the modern Gen1 MINI. Production years for the Gen1 MINI were 2002 through 2006. Six (6) speed manual transmission. Has a 1598 cc engine (approximately 161 HP, 155 P/F Torque). Great gas mileage. Drives like a race car. Would make a great track car or daily driver. This is a genuine modern classic and the truck conversion makes it a one (1) of one (1). Cash only. Buyer must pick up in Laguna Niguel.

  2. Cool, but seems like there would be even less utility this way. Only good use I can think of is carrying gas cans or chemicals you don't ant int h cabin.
