Cheapest Around: 2004 Volkswagen R32

The Volkswagen Golf MkIV was sold from 1999-2006 around the world, but it wasn't until the 2004 R32 edition that a true performance version was born.  The R32 took most of its components from the 3.2 liter Audi TT, including engine, transmission and suspension, but it maintains the Golf level of useability and has a cool looking front air dam...wait a minute...this R32 has a Jetta front end...what's going on!??! At least the price is right. Find this 2004 VW R32 offered for $5600 in Los Gatos, CA via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

  1. aaaannnnnddd... Gone! That was quick.

    1. I test drove a used one a couple of years after it was released. It's interior was nice by my standards and it felt pretty quick. Would have bought it but the payments were just too painful to agree to at the time. I have the AWD Tiguan now for a DD and it has some pretty good go to it.

  2. For an R32 this price is so low as to be suspicious. R32s go for 4x this price on that one auction web site we all know and loathe. I guess the ad is gone so either the seller harvested all the kidneys he needed or someone got a great deal on a running R32.
