Racing Up In Class: 1972 Volvo 1800ES

I have the good fortune of working and living near a few good vintage Volvo mechanics, so I get to see the occasional 1800/P1800 cruising around on the road, but the average driver sees one or two in his lifetime and probably thinks they are an Austin Healey, Aston Martin, or maybe even a Ferrari.  So if you are looking for an inexpensive and interesting car that'll have people scratching your head and you don't like the Triumph GT6, this is the next best bet. Find this 1972 Volvo 1800ES offered for $9,700 CAD ($7373 USD) in Royston, BC via kijiji.net. Tip from Erik202.

  1. Quiz for the day: Notice that you cannot swap-out a front fender on this. Karmen Ghia is another that comes to mind. Any others?

    1. 1970-72 BMW CS coupes, they rust where the fender turns up into the A pillar.

  2. Must have been quite the rust bucket before this owner acquired it. I knew a guy who had a sliding metal sunroof installed in his '72. BRG. I should have bought it.

  3. You may have the option to discover inn and travel bundles; there is a particularly pleasant track in Orlando Florida that has electrical and water attach accessible.
