Almost Christmas: 1986 SAAB 900S

This next car comes as a tip from Erik202 who writes: I have a lot of cars on my kijiji and craigslist watch lists....I’m probably not getting any of them but maybe someone will rescue this one.  Find this 1986 SAAB 900S offered for $2900 CAD ($2205 USD) in Calgary, Alberta, Canada via

From the seller:
Third owner, Alberta car, no accidents, no re-paint, runs excellent with new Ignition parts, oil change w/filter and new air filter. Still has original Clarion/SAAB radio. Manual sunroof, all the electrics still work, door and trunk locks, etc
Has new Continental winters on it. 4 Hancook All-weathers with 60% tread left as well.
Classic Swedish driving. Have some New OEM parts as well as a small collection of random parts, as i could find them.
It’s my daily driver at the moment, just don’t have any more room for it..

See a better way to SAAAAAAAAAAAAAB?

  1. Wow, that looks super-clean, especially for a Canadian car (although salt is a fairly recent trend in Alberta). If these turn your crank, you could do a LOT worse for $3K Cdn. Best wishes for the Winter Solstice to all the DT community.

  2. Worth it for the wheels and that boost gauge.

    1. Back in the 80's a friend's dad had a 900 turbo with wheels that took 2 skinny tires each for wet weather driving like the ones with the big middle groove that were popular for a minute back in the day. I've never seen anything like it since. That was a cool funky car, I ended up trading them a 76 MGB for a Saab 99, should have held onto the 99.
