SubieTurbo Madness: 2004 Subaru Forester XT

This next car won't win an beauty contest awards, but it sure will get you and a bunch of your junk from point A to point B with turbocharged 5-speed all-wheel-drive fury...and that is a rare thing in this world these days.  Find this 2004 Subaru Forester XT offered for $5500 in Jacksonville, FL via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

From the seller:

2004 subaru forester xt
cylinders: 4 cylinders
fuel: gas
odometer: 217038
title status: clean
transmission: manual
type: wagon

I bought a newer car and that’s why I’m looking to get rid of it. It’s been a really good car that I could rely on. No problems with it other than some interior wear and tear, and some exterior scratches with the sun faded hood scoop. Clutch and turbo was changed this year and a lot of engine maintenance was done last year.

  1. Love these things. I had a 2002 Impreza WRX wagon, which was a very similar ownership experience. If the timing belt was recently done, and there is no coolant in the oil, this might be a good buy at this price.

  2. Owned an 05. Super short gearing, combined with low rpm tq from the quick spooling td04 turbo, fun quick car to run through the gears. Great buy!
