Buick V6 Ready for Assembly: 1973 MGB GT

The MGB GT was a fixed roof version of Morris Garage's iconic MGB roadster, introduced in 1965 and built through 1980 for various markets.  When first released, the GT used the same BMC B-series inline-4 cylinder engine, but added small back seats for miniature passengers and Pininfarina designed greenhouse with a fastback lift-gate and storage area.  Today's next example isn't a pristine all-original-example, but it does have a Buick V6 ready for install and is offered for a crazy cheap price. Find this 1973 MGB GT with uninstalled Buick V6 and 5-speed offered for $2500 in Bay Park, CA via craigslist.

 From the seller:

1973 MGB/GT
fuel: gas

title status: clean
transmission: manual

Selling my MGB/GT minus the original drivetrain. In it's place I have a running, ready to go Buick V-6 with a complete Camaro clutch, pressure plate, five speed all assembled ready to install that came out of a running TR-7. The motor is a 4.1L with 60K miles, electronic ignition and a Quadra-jet four barrel. I have a complete Anza dual exhaust system. Also, two drive shafts; one fits the Camaro tranny, the other the MG rear end. You will have to measure, cut, combine, and balance. This drivetrain weighs 40#s LESS than the original setup so the vehicle will have the power of a 5L Mustang and still handle like stock.

MORE IMPORTANTLY! I have a complete engine upgrade kit from Kenne-Bell who were the premier Buick V-6 shop. They have coaxed 600 HP out of these motors for the late Smokey Yunick. This includes new cam, lifters, retainers, pushrods, dual timing chain, oil pump upgrade and more along with many how to books on these motors. You can't buy this stuff anymore! This is far superior to V-8 conversions as you have a lighter, better handling vehicle and a roomier engine compartment. The vehicle is in nice condition and worthy of the donor setup.
