1965 Daimler 250 Saloon, 4 door sedan. Classic British touring car. Built by Jaguar and uses a Jaguar Mk II chassis but has a Daimler 2.5 Litre V-8 engine. Jaguar had recently purchased the Daimler motor car company and decided to use their newly acquired engine in their existing Jag Mk II. This sedan has run and driven recently despite having been parked for many years. It needs lots of TLC and a total restoration would be ideal. It is Right-Hand drive and has an automatic transmission.

See a better way to drive something odd?

  1. Are these just a Jaguar MkII with only the most minor of badge engineered differences?

    1. V8 versus I6 is a bit more than badge engineered.

  2. That engine alone is pretty rare.

  3. The Daimler 250 engine is quite an amazing engine. It’s a hemi headed design loosely based on the triumph motorcycle engine by the same designer.

It even looks like a hemi, i always thought that a tiny 3/4 scale T-bucket with one of them would be cool.
    Read all about it

  4. hey at least its not a taurus with a leaping cat on the hood.

  5. Holy hell! Not often you can pretty convincingly say you've got the only one for over a thousand miles.

Wicked cool car and an ambitious project that will melt our jaded little automotive hearts when finished.
