Rusty Z Car: 1978 Datsun 280Z

The Datsun 280Z was the successor to the seminal 240Z car and lives in a middle ground of 260Z/280ZX before the revival Z performance with the 300ZX.  As such, the 280Z tends to be treated as somewhat of a middle child - it doesn't get the praise and admiration of its eldest successful sibling (240Z) or the pampering of the baby (300ZX).  Logically the 280Z is therefore a big disgruntled, often unloved, wears funky shoes and is rarely found in good shape...and this one is a good example of a cheap/used/abused version. Find this 1978 Datsun 280Z here on eBay offered for $2,895 in Lucerne Valley, CA.

  2. Rusty Ze Car was the getaway driver in that French gangster movie where all the gangster buddies get away in white cars and go after the French mafia. The Car was described as a fast car, with the front end of the car going over cliffs and the rear end being a bit of a walker. Although Ze Car was meant not to have power, it can hold 10 riders at a time, so it could still run. In the story, the Car's driver and its owner, Tommy Ze Car, were the only ones around on their adventure when the Gangsters broke up. Ze Car, with his two brothers, Tom and Jimmy, were in their own cars and wanted to run back, but their parents refused as Tommy was the youngest and the cars were meant for adults. As Tommy and Jimmy got away from their parents, Ze Car was trying to find a way home in his car. He ran into the road and it turned his head so Ze Car could see, and from that moment he had a lot of fear for what the people of that street were going to see. As Tom and Jimmy got to Tom's house, he told Jimmy to keep watch for people and keep away from the roads. He found Tommy's house and Jimmy came in the front door and talked to him about what's been going on around him.
