Estate Sale: 1960 Bentley S2

The Bentley S2 was only built in low volume, something less than 2000 ever left the factory between 1958 and 1962...so it seems mildly implausible to find one offered for less than $10k..but it is offered from an estate sale and the car does need considerable work...so maybe it isn't a scammer? Seems like money well spent if you ask me. Find this 1960 Bentley S2 offered for $8000 in Naples, FL via craigslist.  Tip from Dascpcu.

From the seller:

1960 Bentley S2
fuel: gas
title status: clean
transmission: automatic

We have a 1960 Bentley S2 for sale. It has a Rolls Royce grill. The looks great. Interior is nice except missing door panels. The fuel tank is missing. We hooked up a fuel tank to run it, and it did start and run. This is an estates sale, and must be sold. Bring all offers with your tow truck!

  2. The 54 Cadillac Fleetwood parked next to it is kind of attractive as well. Oh, it's for sale too!

    1. ....and another Rolls/Bentley straight ahead, and some sort of open-wheeled race thingy to the right. I do like this Bentley, and that seems like a reasonable ask for such stateliness.

    2. Wonderbar ..

  3. I wonder what swapping it back to Bentley-ness would cost?
It says a lot about post war Britain that there was a market for cars exactly like a Rolls-Royce priced exactly like a Rolls-Royce but marketed to people who didn’t want to embarrass their boss who had a Rolls-Royce, or just wanted to make a show of both being modest but letting everyone know that they were rich, just a little embarrassed about the whole ruling class thing.

  4. Looks like a really fun estate sale. Bentley, Lincoln, Cadillac, Austin on Craigslist...and others not listed but in the photos. I wonder what's in the garages and house? Could be cool!
