FIat Abarth Munday: 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth

Our next feature on this most festive holiday known around the globe as Fiat Munday's is another Fiat, but this one is wasn't assembled by someone named Gianni in Italy, but more than likely built by Jan in Poland or Juan in Mexico...which is not to say it isn't a better car...but would fettuccine made by Jan or Juan be as scrumptious?  Find this 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth here on eBay offered for $8000 buy-it-now or make-offer in Wilmington, NC.

  1. Love em or hate em that is one tunable (Tork Motorsports Auburn) engine. Slick top & 47k mi, price is right, location for me is not unfortunately .. I wonder if that drivetrain could fit into an IQ ?

  2. One is parked in our driveway, purchased a week ago. We can confirm this is a good deal. Ours is 80k miles, w/ no warranty and it needed tires and had a torn axle boot but was in immaculate condition: $7500.

They're MUCH fun, a point & shoot hole-shot car that keeps me grinning.

Gripes (at least for 2013 model):
"Italian" driving position: steering wheel too close when pedals in best position.
Seat headrests jut forward, can't get comfortable & would suck if I had to wear a helmet. Slippery leather.
Tachometer nearly impossible to read in daylight.
Beats Audio won't receive music from phone via bluetooth.
Beats Audio U.I. absolutely sucks for USB & MP3's.
Exhaust might be too loud for some (no muffler from factory!)
    Imprecise but acceptable shifter feel.

    Strengths:
Fiat Madness chiptune good for almost 195hp with 93 octane = FUN.
Quiet at interstate speeds if not romping on throttle.
Feels as solid as any Japanese car.
    Corners on rails.
    Gorgeous interior.
The most unique budget sports car on sale in America today.

    1. Dumb edit needed: steering wheel is too FAR away when adjusted for pedal placement. Apes and orangutans will be right at home however.

  3. Just drive it like the Italians do, with hands on either side of the bottom spoke, palms up.

  4. One of my favorite raspy exhaust tones. So much fun
