Brow Buster: 2003 Mercedes-Benz CL55 AMG K8 Brabus

The C215 generation CL55 AMG (2000-2006) was a beast of a 2 door coupe that would put a smile on the face of any fun seeking one legged car lover, but the guys at Brabus decided it wasn't fast they added 50 horsepower, big wheels, and a fancy body kit to build a car that The Truth About Cars described in 2002 with a few simple statements: Overtaking at any speed is so damn quick it inspires the kind of maniacal laughter beloved of comic book villains.  Actually, they were talking about the SL55 AMG K8, but one could assume you'd also find Bane driving this thing.  Find this 2003 Mercedes-Benz CL55 AMG K8 Brabus offered for $12,999 in Ventura, CA via craigslist. Tip from Sean S.

  1. If you just think about this as the parts and not even the whole car it is amazing. The wheels, AMG breaks ;), oh and that engine.
Is muscle car with wide rear tires, hooker headers, holly carb spewing gas the real boulevard king or is this? Animal!
I looked up the wheelbase and weight. Surprisingly long @114" and unsurprisingly heavy at 4k lbs.

  2. Really dig this. In all candor, I would have loved to pick something like this up before I got my 2017 Dodge Charger SRT, but each time I clicked on a similar ad, my wallet would remove itself my pocket and run and hide. Granted, I would have saved a lot at this price point, but sheezus.... one can only imagine what kind of repair costs possibly lurk in the shadows...... but wait, buy it for $12k and put another $12k in the bank for "what if's".... I'd still be in the black by $16k. :P Maybe.

  3. Depreciation is a hell of a drug. The greater it is, the more I want it. This one's got a ton of it.

  4. Yeah there a whole lot of Ultra Luxury premium salesman bovine scatacology in this one.

This has gotta be a scam. Yeah, these have depreciated like crazy, but even so, the mods on this one are well respected and usually command a premium.
