Four Bye Four: 1986 AMC Eagle Wagon

Five hundred smackeroos doesn't get you much in a working vehicle these days...but as evidenced by the last posting, there are cars available for that price and some might even be cool.  Find this 1986 AMC Eagle Wagon here on eBay offered for $560 in Westlake, OH with 1 day to go.

From the seller:
1986 AMC Eagle wagon. Just under 138000 miles . 258 6 cylinder engine . Runs and drives well . Regular oil changes using Rotella and Brad Penn oil. Breaks all done less than 1000 miles ago. Continental tires and aftermarket rims. When you turn ignition over it makes a loud noise could possibly be flywheel eventually, but that is completely just a guess. I am not a mechanic . We put a new starter in it earlier in the year. Once again it has made that noise since I’ve had it and never been an issue. Could prob use an exhaust eventually .

I’m not sure about 4wheel drive but I believe it works.  Gas gauge sort of works sometimes. Aftermarket radio works. All lights work as they should. Only reason for selling is have my eye on something else and have to thin the herd  a bit. Thank you for looking . Car sold as is and everything is to the best of my knowledge. Feel free to ask any questions .

  1. The Clifford valve cover suggests that the engine may have been rebuilt with performance rocker arms necessitating a larger cover. Or it's just wishful thinking on my part. At any rate this is a wagon with a metric ton of potential!
