E39 M5 Power: 1995 BMW 540i E34 S52 Swap

The trick of doing a good engine swap is simple...just follow these two rules: (1) pick a sweet vehicle with plenty of street cred, but maybe down a few ponies on power & (2) juice it up with something that keeps alive the spirit of the original automobile, but turns the dial up to 11. (3...wait...3?) Bonus points if the swap involves complex alpha-numerics that nobody except real fanboys understand -- yo dawg, is that a Z15N? No quite, its a Z15N-GT...dude, straight GDM man. Hawt. I think that shoving an S62 V8 from a later M5 into a E34 5-series meets both of those rules. Find this 1995 BMW 540i E34 S52 Swap offered for $12000 in Fresno, CA via craigslist. Tip from Sean.

I have a bmw e34 540i6 that I am testing the waters on. I'm looking to get around $12,000 for it. I have well over $20,000 into the car with receipts for most of it. 

The car started out as an HE53 540i with a 6 speed manual transmission. It has over 240,000 miles on the clock. Two years ago I pulled the original M60 V8 and put an S62b50 from the e39 M5 into it which puts it right about 400 hp. The motor now has about 150,000 miles on it. Rod bearings were done at 140,000 miles. Vanos was rebuilt and most sensors were replaced. The transmission is a 420g 6 speed out of a BMW e46 M3 with 120,000 miles on it. Shifts very smooth. Currently sitting in 18x8 and 18x9 style 32s. The following is a list of most of the major things that have been replaced on this car. 

-Brand new Driveshaft.
-Dinan Cold air intakes 
-geibo
-3.15 LSD with 90,000 miles on it refresh performed last week with new seals and fluid. 
New drilled and slotted disk brakes and brand new pads.
-Poly subframe bushings. 
-all new diff carrier bushings.
-Poly Sway bar bushings, 
-sway bar end links.
-Front control arms.
-rear pitman arm bushings.
-Motor mounts.
-UUC black street/sport transmission mount bushings.
-New selector rod and all associates bushings with delrin shifter link bushings.
-Z3M short throw shifter with ZHP knob.
-Brand new koni yellow adjustable shocks and struts with new top mounts.
-H&R lowering springs.
-Depo euro headlights. (They work nice and are a huge improvement over the old stock lights, but they do throw a headlight error code.)
-Kassel Performance ECU with 7,000 rpm limit, sport mode permanently on, EWS delete, and mild performance tune.
-e39 M5 catylitic converters and magnaflow cat back exhaust. 
-new O2 sensors (all 4)
- E39 M5 Clutch with 10,000 miles on it.
-slave cylinder, 
-Clutch release bearings.

There is a tone of other little random things purchased for this car as you can imagine, like trunk and hood shocks etc etc, but you get the idea. The only thing stopping this motor swap from being fully California legal and passing the BAR is that I haven't set up the evap system and tank leak diagnostics. Otherwise this car should pass all emissions requirements. 

Paint on the car has seen better days as you can see in the pictures, and there are a few things that still need to be sorted in the swap, hense the price. If you have any questions or are interested in the car and would like to talk more,
