Chevy V8 Power: 1987 Porsche 944S

Porsche fans around the world cry copious (and salty sweet) tears whenever someone takes an aircooled 911/912/914 and shoehorns a Chevy V8 under the hood, but what about the unloved Porsches from the era of the front-engine watercooled P-car? Yeah, nobody sheds a tear when those go under the knife...whatever, I love stupid engine swaps no matter.  Find this 1987 Porsche 944S offered for $5500 in Helena, MT via craigslist.  Tip from Rock On!

 From the seller:
The car is in acceptable condition for its age. 8/ 10 interior 8/10 exterior. If you don't know how to handle with care it will put you in the side of a house. Loads of torque old school Chevy 350 with upgraded cam , new spark plugs 300 miles ago , belts and crank pully 500 miles. It's my daily driver. Has auto moon roof manual sun roof. Looking for cash or trades. Something more fuel efficient for college. Truck , car, diesel, what you got?

See a car with a bigger exhaust pipe?

  1. how long (time & miles) has that engine been in the car and how was the Chevy 350 shoehorned in? what about the accessories like power steering , AC, transmission, clutch, suspension changes due to weight distribution? How about getting it registered? George in Toronto

  2. Hood scoop Coffee Kan Exhaust is that a fresh air pipe school clock tack just a few bitches.

  3. I bet this drives more like a 69 nova than a P car.

  4. dont Porsche-istas bid up the prices on these phone dial wheels? seems like you could significantly offset the purchase price if you parted these off this Porschev.
