From the seller:
Selling my '73, an original, clean title California car. No rust, runs and drives great, and comes with a folder of receipts from work I've done. Not accepting trades as I am moving out of state and will not take the car.
This car was my daily driver from 2012-2015 and was worked on first and foremost with that in mind. Work done includes:
- 3.9 R200
- 5 Speed (280ZX)
- Tokico blues and Energy poly bushings
- Electronic ignition (from a newer Z, looks stock)
- Z Therapy SUs
- Header/2.5" Exh
- Lots of electrical stuff
I have driven this car to and from LA at least 100 times and would happily do it again. That being said it's got minor stuff you'd expect from a 45 year old car, so if you're seriously interested, come by and I'll walk you through everything I know about it.
$9500 Firm. I do have a video of the car running and driving on request, but I will not respond to e-mails without a contact number.
See a better way to drive a classic? tips@dailyturismo.com
Honest looking car, at a very attractive price. There are none left up here due to the tin-worm infestation. 5-spd is a nice addition. This looks better than the green one that is up for auction on "that other site", but that other car can be expected to run well over $20K. Grab this one while it is cheap?
ReplyDeleteI payed $2500 for my 71 240Z i know that was a while back just hard for me to pay 4 times that for like car today yes there where more around back then and cheap and could really find the best one for the money now only a memory in the fog bank.
ReplyDeletethis is a car you buy for fun, and for driving, since its value as a classic is ruined by the non-stock parts...
ReplyDeleteRuined??!
DeleteBased on that logic 95% of classic cars are good for nothing but did duty and destined for the crusher

ReplyDeleteThese early Z cars are automotive bliss. Simple and designed to run forever. I've enjoyed the early Z cars for years. One of the best sounds in the entire world is a datsun inline six breathing through triple carbs and expelling it's spent gasses via header.
