American Monster: 1969 Ford Torino GT

The Ford Torino was named after the Italian city of Torino, home of 2006 Winter Olympics and located in the same province as legendary Pininfarina design house.  Pininfarina would never have designed a car where the rear quarter panels are larger than two zip codes, but the Torino was designed in Detroit, a city where space is not a premium and the pot holes are legendary.  Find this 1969 Ford Torino GT here on eBay bidding for $10,200 reserve-not-met located in Nipomo, CA with 1 day to go.

From the seller:

I took this Torino, in trade, toward my chopped 48 Chevy show car. I am selling it to get the rest of my cash out of it to put into my houses.

The Torino is very nice. It has been completely restored. There is very little to do to her but drive!

The paint is almost flawless. It looks like the factory pearl white that you see on  Cadillacs. It has one, barely noticeable, nick . The GT badging is all new.

Complete new black interior. Seats, headliner, door panels, carpet, dash, rear package tray

The 302 V8 and C4 have been gone through, two owners ago. It lights right off and runs great! It sounds awesome through the dual Corvair turbo mufflers. It has a new Edelbrock 4 barrel carb and a Ford Racing dress up kit.

The chrome GT wheels have new tires/correct caps.

The bumpers are beautiful chrome

I think that the odometer reads 23,000 and am sure it is 123,000

This is a very nice car!

I included some pics of other cars I am selling. Please inquire. I will be listing them on EBay soon too.

I have a trailer and can deliver up to 200 miles for $1/ mile after she is paid for.

I live 75 miles North of Santa Barbara and 10 miles South of Pismo Beach

I may take part trade, up to maybe 50% but MUST HAVE a good amount of cash coming to me. Remember I am only selling to fix my houses.

I may trade for: BARN FIND HOT RAT RODS CLASSIC CHEVY FORD 1955  1957 BEL AIR 1956 NOMAD PONTIAC SAFARI OR CONVERTIBLE MACH BOSS OR MUSTANG CAMARO{NOVA 68-72} NASH OR INTERNATIONAL METRO

BLESSINGS!

  1. And this is why you never 'take trades' for your cars. While this may be a very nice, White Torino, there are not many buyers looking for a really nice white Torino.

    1. Possibly no one. Back in that day, Ford coil springs were known for spontaneous collapse. My dad had a '69 Torino, and I remember sitting outside one afternoon, and as I glanced at the car, there was a loud "sproing" and the right front dropped a couple of inches. The spring had failed just sitting there.
