TerraMinta: 1983 Toyota Celica Supra P-Type

The 2nd-gen MA60 Supra, like its predecessor, still fell under the Celica umbrella, being based on the economy coupe but with a longer nose, inline six-cylinder engine, and sportier MO. These cars are solid if not the most exciting classics on the market, but if you're looking for your ticket into 80s Japanese Radwood perfection, this might just be it. Find this 1983 Toyota Celica Supra P-Type for sale in Rancho Cucamonga, CA for $10,000 via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

$Free.99: 1960 Studebaker Lark Project

Free car! Who can argue with that? Not this guy, or anyone else who has an ounce of adventure and optimism running through their oil-soaked veins. It's not often we find a car that someone wants taken off their hands for a song, yet also cool enough to feature. This little Lark is one of those unicorns, although it will need a heavy application of dedication to get it back on the road. Find this Free 1960 Studebaker Lark in Rocklin, CA via craigslist. Tip from Terry B.

Not So Delicate: 1992 Mitsubishi Delica Exceed 4WD Turbodiesel

The Mitsubishi Delica was a compact Japanese van with unibody construction, a mid-engine RWD or 4WD drivetrain, and a smattering of engine options. These were sold in North America under the creative model names Van and Wagon, and only lasted a few years here (1987-1990). Those were basic cargo and people mover versions, but if Mitsu had offered us the full-on 4WD turbodiesel Delica in this market, they might have been as common as 4Runners and Cherokees. Find this Mitsubishi Delica 4WD for sale in Fort Myers, FL for $15,000 via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

Boss Mojäng Stang: 1982 Ford Mustang GL 5.0

Ford sure got a lot of mileage out of the Fox platform, pumping out the same basic car under dozens of different nameplates, shapes, and trim levels starting in 1979. They managed to keep this pony alive and kicking for more than two decades, if you count the SN95 evolution form 1993-2004. But the earliest "four eyed" Mustangs are starting to gain some fans lately, and are worth a look due to their affordability and retro '80s style. So if you prefer your Fox Body Mustangs from the D/MH era (Dorothy and/or Mark Hamill) instead of one of the later PVI cars (Post-Vanilla Ice), then check this one out.  Find this 1982 Ford Mustang GL for sale in Ojai, CA for $8,000 via craigslist.

Bang For The Lira- 1986 Alfa Romeo GTV6 3.0

The Alfa GTV6 is one of the more curious cars from the 1980s that seems to be off the radar of collectors who are throwing buckets of cash at 911s and E30 M3s right now. Unlike the only a mother could love styled Milano sedan, the GTV6 was a handsome Giorgetto Giugiaro designed hatchback. It came equipped with the oh so lovely sounding Busso 2.5 SOHC V6 engine. The 2.5 engine was good for 160 hp which was decent for the time, but was much better known for the symphony of music it produced. Today's car has plucked a 3.0 engine from a Milano Verde into its engine bay which should be good for at least a 28 hp increase over stock.  Find this 1986 Alfa Romeo GTV6 for sale in Queens, NY for $6,500 via craigslist.

Pacer Memories or A Visit to The PX: 1976 AMC Pacer X

To close out the week, we'd like to share with you a bit of old-school car sales knowledge and Pacer memories from our resident ex-dealer, Hunsbloger. Huns starts by saying: "The worst part about looking at this horribly vague ad is that it dredges up memories that I wish had stayed buried." Find this 1976 AMC Pacer X with rare manual trans option in Anchorage, AK for $3,500 via craigslist. Tip from Zach Z.

Epic Project: 1973 Saab 99 Rally Build

We get a lot of tips of rad cars for sale here in the DT inbox, all of which are amazing to receive, but some of which stand out from others. When we get the same car tipped on the same day from two different readers, and opening the ad produces an audible "ooooh!" reaction, then we know it's gooood. Underneath the patinated yellow exterior of this one lies the yet-to-be jumpstarted heart of a future rally monster. Find this 1973 Saab 99 Notchback project car for sale in Monrovia, CA for $6,000 via craigslist. Simultaneous tips from Sean S. and Rock On!

Will Trade for NEW Golf Cart: 1996 Cadillac DeVille Concours Edition

Redundancy is a funny thing in the car industry. As a carmaker you may have one product doing well, so you decide hey, why don't we make all of them look and feel like this one? The D-Body Fleetwood was Cadillac's last big RWD traditional body-on-frame sedan, made from the bones of the aerotastic 1991 Chevy Caprice. That smooth low drag shape translated so well to Big Caddy language, the product planners couldn't resist spreading that feeling around and so the front-drive Deville was next to get the smooth treatment.  Find this 1996 Cadillac DeVille Concours Edition for sale in Tucson, AZ for $9,000 via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

Wings Clipped: Former Red Bull 1997 Suzuki X-90

The title of Oddest & Smallest 90s SUV goes, without question, to the Suzuki X-90. Mechanically the twin of the Sidekick, aka Escudo in JDM-lingo, the little 2-door T-top sport cute X-90 weighed only 2400 pounds and was actually shorter in length than the original NA Mazda Miata. Makes sense then that Austrian beverage media company Red Bull would convert them into drink dispensing, marketing funded, tax writeoff machines. Find this 1997 Suzuki X-90 with built-in cooler for sale in Carson, CA for $1,950 $1,850 via craigslist. Tip from Sean S. who writes "the most macho tailgating truck ever - built in beer cooler."

Turbo Sleeper: 2009 Toyota Corolla

Sometimes a car is so plain that it's worth writing about. If you were looking at a stock 2009 Corolla then this would not be one of those times. This particular appliance has a few secrets under the hood however, in the form of a retrofitted turbo kit and a beefed-up slushbox to handle the immense torque cranked out by 1.8 liters of boosted fury. Find this 2009 Toyota Corolla with turbo kit for sale near St. Louis, MO for $9,000 via craigslist. Tip from JG 750.

Spinning Yarn: 1991 Volvo 240 Wagon

Most Craigslist ads purposely gloss over a car's warts and short comings.  Honesty is a rare thing to find in any car for sale listing. Today's Volvo brick wagon seller takes things to a whole new level by actually waxing poetically about all of the car's faults, the scary predicaments the car has put him in driving it, and his own role in it's decrepit condition.  All in all, it makes for a mildly interesting read, but the frightening pictures of the car make those words really come to life.  Find this 1991 Volvo 240 wagon for sale in Townsend, MA for $1,500 via craigslist.

Snow White: 1971 Volvo 145S

Double Thorsday on a Wednesday?! With the Winter Olympics going on, it's pertinent to talk about choices of old affordable cars for ski trips. If you live in the great frozen North then you already have a winter beater and need not apply, but for those of us who have to drive to the mountains to slide face first through the snow into a whiteout oblivion, we need to think about whether our vehicle will get us there without much drama. Find this 1971 Volvo 145S for sale in Hermosa Beach, CA for $6,250 via craigslist.
Tip from Erik202.

$6500 is the new $500: 1972 Volvo 1800ES

If any car-finding site has helped to drive up the values of Volvo's 1800ES shooting brake...then it's probably not us, but we were guilty of over-featuring the little mini wagon during our first few years on the web. For a long time these were affordable, incredibly stylish, and durable classics that could be used daily and make you look cooler than you really are. All of that is still true, except for the affordability part. Imagine our surprise when we found this 1972 Volvo 1800ES for sale in Las Vegas, NV for $6,500 via craigslist.

Bumble B8: 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT

Do you hate it when strangers approach you and ask "what kind of car is that?"  Yeah, me too, but the builder of this next car had it with all of those newbs asking him (or her) about his (or her) ride and plastered it proudly across the side like a tattoo with your own name on it.  Find this 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT V8 swap offered for $4950 in Green Valley, AZ via craigslist.  Tip from Rock On!

Kitted out Combi: 1970 Ford E200 Supervan

The Boomers and Hipsters in their quest to project certain images, have pushed the values of Westfalias and other VW Van camper conversions to the point of ridiculousness.  Never mind that they really are barely adequate to drive ad the posted speed limit on the way to your mountain campground, the image of you and your facial hair and wool shirt chopping wood at the campsite is worth overpaying for.  If you are really serious about van camping though, you'd get one of these for a reasonable price.   Find this 1970 Ford E200 Supervan for sale in Bellingham, WA for $7,500 via craigslist.

LS1 6-Speed Monster: 1991 Volvo 940 Wagon

Remember that Yoshifab V8 Volvo wagon that sold on ebay for something reasonable and then kept showing back up being sold by flipper(s) looking for a quick profit?  Yeah.  Beat the flippers to this next beasty and pick it up for a reasonable asking price before it ends up on some auction site that is frequented by high rollers.  Find this 1991 Volvo 940 Wagon with LS1 & T56 6-speed offered for $6,500 in Palm Beach, FL via craigslist. Tip from Rock On!

LKQ Pick Your Part Garage Review

My name is Cory and one of my favorite things to do is find bargain priced parts at pick and pull junkyards. The trouble with pick and pull yards is, once you are there, it's an Easter egg hunt in trying to find the make/model of what you are looking for...if there are even any victims at all. If you happen to nearby this is less of an issue, but still leads to wasted time looking around. In the NYC area where I am located, the pick and pull yards closest to me are at two plus hours away in North East PA, Catskills area of NY, or down in Baltimore, MD.  In the fall last year, I was introduced to the LKQ Pick Your Part Garage by a cashier at the LKQ Edgewood, MD location.  Their new website and app allows you to set up your own garage and create email alerts for whenever a car meeting your criteria is released your saved LKQ yards.

The Thick Blue Line: 2008 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor

Sales of Ford's legendary Crown Victoria sedan stopped for the general public after the 2007 model year, but fleet sales continued through 2011. Legend has it that many police departments put in large orders for the aging Panther platform beast because they were concerned about the reliability of the replacement vehicles from Chevy/Ford/Dodge, but if you want a slightly used ex-Police use Crown Vicky, you can get one for the contents of a child's piggy bank. Find this 2008 Ford Crown Victoria offered for $2450 in Warren, MI via craigslist.  Tip from Rock On!
