Potential or Witt's: 1996 Saab 9000 Aero

Alaska is known as "The Last Frontier" but I believe it has less to do with the endless uninhabited forests, marshlands, glaciers, and active volcanoes -- and more to do with the collection of rusting pieces of history littering the roads.  This next car could be a parts heap or unlimited potential...or a parts heap of unlimited potential.  Find this 1996 Saab 9000 Aero offered for $950 in Kenai, AK via craigslist.  Tip from Zack Z.

From the seller:
There are many great features as well functioning parts. Like any Saab of this age it needs someone with the knowledge to bring it back to its potential or Witt's to know if its better off to be parted out. I have a detailed list in which I can email you of the pros and cons. It has 129,200 miles and it does run. One of the reasons for this price is that I live in Florida and its just sitting awaiting a new owner. Please call Letitia at

See a better way to Aero!

  1. The best Saab engine ever made. These engines are shockingly easy and cheap to make 400 hp.

  2. Hmmm, car in Alaska being sold on Craigslist by an owner in Florida. I don't see how this could go wrong.

  3. Please send funds to Florida address. You will find the key over the driver side front
T ire and a signed transfer of title in the glovebox
