Clown Shoe: 2000 BMW M Coupe

The BMW M Clownshoe was developed by an elite team of BMW engineers, led by a madman named Burkhard Göschel who liked crazy rear wheel offset and shooting the brakes.  The team did not like the twisty rear end of the Z3 convertible and grafted a shooting brake style rear onto the car that allegedly increased torsional rigidity by 2.7 times.  The resulting car is now something of a legend among BMW fanboys and prices are going up fast.  Find this 2000 BMW M Coupe offered for $21,500 in North Bend, OR via craigslist. Tip from FuelTruck.

See a better way to drive a silver coupe?

  1. These things remind me of a modern AMC Gremlin - even if the BMW "Kompact" 3 series is probably a much more literal case of using the AMC Gremlin design philosophy.

  2. I had one in this exact combo and year for 3 years and loved every minute of it. I hated the design until I looked closely and drove it. It's the easiest car to drive fast. When my wife and I took it on excursions it held all of our traveling needs easily. Sold it for what I bought it for and miss it regularly. The s52 is way better than the 54 for everyday fun without the expense and troubles.

  3. I bet one would feel like Steve Mcqueen driving this and look like Krusty the clown going down the street

  4. Happy 4th Ya'll check out this clown shoe for 8k
    I want to be bozo

    1. If that ad is real,it's the steal of the month!
