Old School Party: 1980 Ford Fiesta

Ford has never had much of a reputation for building small cars in the USA.  The first generation euro import Fiesta was only sold over here from 1978-1981.  These cars were wildly popular in Europe and seem to be a far superior drivers car than the Escort that followed it.  Today's Fiesta seller has one of the most honest opening lines I have seen in a CL ad when he says, "Due to life kicking us in the balls, I have to sell my beloved project car."  Find this 1980 Ford Fiesta for sale in Rollinsford, NH for $2,900 via craigslist.

If the first sentence of the listing didn't endear the seller to you, his choice in garage wall art may help change your mind.  He purchased the car two years ago and has been fixing it up and acquiring parts for the car since then.  The Fiesta was last registered in 2000 and shows 63,000 miles on the odometer.  It comes with the original window build sheet and 1980 issue title.

The seller has done a substantial amount of work to the car including: rebuilt entire rear brakes, new tires, refurbished 13" Mustang II wheels, coolant system overhaul, tune up, hatch struts, and new battery.  The car will start and run with help of starting fluid, but the carb is believe to be in need of an overhaul.

The car comes with all of these extra parts:

N.O.S. Ford carb rebuild kit
N.O.S. Ford water pump,
N.O.S. Ford fuel pump
valve cover gasket
front brake pads
Stainless steel Brake hoses front & back
original 12" steel wheels.
Rare, original Auto-Plas rear Louver & hardware (over $600.00 value back in the day)
European spec bumpers Front & back (includes Euro reg lights for rear bumper)
European spec Headlights (Hella) with proper H4 wiring harness
European spec Tail lights
Has an old school Header installed, along with lowering springs and upgraded swaybar
Pop Up Sunroof that doesn't leak
Momo wheel & hub
