Thursday Twister: Tax Return Car

For this week's Thursday Twister, it is time to start thinking about taxes -- not paying them, but what are you going to do with that juicy return.  According to some article I read on the world wild web, the average US return for the 2015 tax year was $2,860, so that is your budget.  What do you get?

I'd spend the cash on this 1992 Buick Regal Gran Sport offered for $2800 in Oakland Hills, CA via craigslist.  The 3800 V6 looks clean and the one-owner status makes it a temping sedan.

What would you get for $2860?

    1. On "The Shaver." "I would appreciate folks to make an appointment to check the Corona out in person because pictures and my description of the Corona will not help you." Well, the random fender photos and one front fender are pretty poor in showing the car, and there is no description.

  5. Coincendentally, my daily driver is a Regal Gran Sport that I picked up for $40 more than the average tax refund - but I opted for a '98 so as to get the blower. So this time around, I'd go for something a bit different - how about this Gremlin? 1976 Gremlin on Craigslist

    1. I recall seeing one of those in a junkyard and first thinking, "Somebody did a really weird engine swap to keep that on the road." After finding it was a factory build, I've sometimes wished I had grabbed some parts out of it and used them to swap a BMW S52 into a Fox body Mustang.
