Wacky Wagon Thursday? A Concord, Eagle, & Tercel Walk Into A Bar...

This next feature comes with a few words from tipper Matt C...take it away:  I hopped on Craigslist today looking for a cool station wagon, and found several that are quite DT-ish:

First is an AMC Concord wagon, amazingly clean at a great price.  1982 American Concorde
offered for $1995 near Atlanta, GA via craigslist.

If you want to shell out extra to have four wheel drive, here is a very clean AMC Eagle:  1986 AMC Eagle 4WD offered for $6,500 in Senoia, GA via craigslist.

For Japanese penalty box fans, here is a Toyota Tercel.  1984 Toyota Tercel Station Wagon offered for $1995 in Fayetteville, GA via craigslist.

  1. That's a big money gap between 'nice Eagle' and 'nice Concord'. I'd recommend shooting for a crappier Eagle.

  2. I'm lovin' Wacky Wagon day (should be Wednesday in the future, of course). I see that the Concord ad has been taken down, so probably was a great deal on something that you could drive and keep alive for many years (whether you would WANT to drive it for many years is for each of you to answer for yourselves).

At first glance, I thought the Eagle was a bit tasteless. Then I realized that it is "built". Sounds like it would be an effective off-roader, so the look is appropriate. Car is clean, price is strong, normal n'est-ce pas?

Finally, the "Turd-Cell". Funky and clean, slow for sure, but they feel quicker due to their simple nature and lightness. Price is right, I would drive it.

    1. i'm ready for wagon *week* - no one is surprised
