Fix It Awesome Tony: 1960 Fiat 1200 Cabriolet

The Fiat 1200 Cabriolet is a little Pininfarina designed classic that combines the classic charm of an Italian built roadster with the classic prices of something from Great Britain.  Today's Fiat needs a few finishing touches before you can cruise around your local peninsula or bay country club.  Find this 1960 Fiat 1200 Cabriolet offered for $4,750 in Redwood City, CA via craigslist.

This is not a barn find or a rotisserie restored classic, but it is offered with "zero rust" and good paint, but it is missing parts.  On the inside you will find Fiat 124 seats and under the hood you will find a Datsun engine mated to a manual gearbox.

The original 1.2 liter 4-banger from Fiat wasn't exactly a powerhouse, but I would expect that the Datsun engine to be slightly more alive.

See another classic roadster?

  1. Look at the gold colored Buick in the background of the first picture. Then go back to yesterday's post of the 3 cars which included a Buick that looked liked that. Then, compare the ALL CAPS text and pleasant tone of the seller regarding the rules of contact. Redwood City for one, San Carlos for the other..hmmm.

    1. Good eye, Hunsbloger. It is, in fact, the same car. Plates are a match.

  2. Yikes! Close to me, but "parts were lost" means I'll let it go. It seems to be priced for "all parts included"!
