Punk As Heck: 1982 AMC Spirit GT

The pejorative term punk was adopted by followers of the alternative music scene from the mid 70s typified by bands like the Clash, Ramones, or Sex Pistols.  Followers of the punk lifestyle sport mohawks, leather jackets, bad attitudes and (apparently) awesome AMC Spirit customs.  Find this 1982 AMC Spirit offered for $2,000 in SF Bay Area, CA via craigslist.  Tip from Kaibeezy.

The overall stance of this Spirit GT is sweet -- and the side pipes match the magnum 500s rally wheels.  It is all very custom and very punk.

A 258 cubic inch inline-6 isn't going to be the most powerful engine you could shove between the shock towers, but it should be torquey and consume fuel like Keith Richards drinks Jack Daniels.

  3. I once had to wear a boot like that, when I broke my ankle.

    It needed time to heel...

Where does I put me double barrell shortie?

-just a few bargaining points for me m8s considering purchasing this beaut. On the positive side the seller was smart to show that she can be driven by a moon boot clad or slightly disabled limping driver. Folks you're gonna need this one in our current and since Tuesday final pre-apocalypse days. Toecutter, Candelinni (Pre-amputation), and Mudguts wholly agree.
