Clown Sko: 1973 Volvo 1800ES

The clownshoe shaped Volvo 1800ES isn't going to have its own dedicated room at the Petersen Automotive Museum, but it won't cost an arm/leg or need a team of specialists to start it up when you want to go for a ride.  That sounds like the perfect car for your garage, because who wants to own a museum piece anyway? Find this 1973 Volvo 1800ES offered here on eBay bidding for $6,750 with 4 days to go, located in Boeme, TX.

Introduced in 1972 as a way to extend the life of the P1800/1800S/1800E/ chassis, the 1800ES variant was a 2-door shooting brake version that was designed by Volvo's in-house designer Jan Wilsgaard.  Wilsgaard's proposal beat out two Italian prototypes that were deemed too futuristic to be saleable, and built on Pelle Petersen's solid original late '50s coupe design.

Under hood lives a B20F inline-4 that produces 125 horsepower from 2.0 liters of displacement and a basic overhead valve setup.

See another teal classic?
