As the free love and peace movement from the 1960s morphed into the drug and crime movement of the 1970s, custom cars were front and center in the culture wars. This next car is an awesome example of the free spirited approach to paint jobs and I'd take even money that some chemicals were involved in the design phase because it is trippppy. This C3 Vette is painted in the panel painting style that was perfected by the late great Larry Watson. It isn't a bad looking car (particularly if you like custom stuff from the 70s) and is much better looking than the '65 Vette with spray painted panels we featured a few years ago.
The seller claims the car is powered by an L71 427 cubic inch V8 from a '68 Corvette that was rated at 435 horsepower but is now carb'd and piped to produce 580 horsepower. This is not an all-show no-go poseur; on the contrary this thing will be a blast to drive.
