2016 DT Birthday Wrapup

It has been an insane and long week over here on the editing/writing/publishing side of the DT world as we celebrated DT's 4th Birthday.  100 years of cars in a single week was an ambitious goal, but we found some interesting stuff along the way and learned a thing or two.  On Monday we covered 1917 through 1936, Tuesday we ventured into the fabulous future of the 1940s and 1950s, Wednesday we just hit the 1960s muscle and 1970s junk, Thursday was a day to celebrate the automotive renaissance of the 1980s/1990s and Friday was a look at the past few years of fabulous automobiles to leave the factories around the globe.

Thanks & Shout-outs:  First, I've got to think Kaibeezy for the awesome set of badges/graphics for the birthday, we will have a post about this later this week.  Next, CFlo wrote a dozen or so and edited everything else – as always, his editing is superb and needed. Regular contributor Gianni wrote a bunch, same with Andy Liss. New writer Adam wrote some good stuff, Al covered the 70s in style, and Matt stepped up wrote about 25 features, it was great, fantastic stuff! Final thanks to all writers/readers/contributors for being a part of this crazy site for the past 4 years.

  1. Now we know what you were doing on the weekend. Great job! You are going to need a vacation to recover from the birthday.

  2. Great cars so far, thanks and Happy Birthday to my favorite car website!

  3. I like that you presented so many and had a theme.
Showing more cars for sale is what you need to do, if you can, on top of the writing entertainment.
    Just my opinion.

  4. Oh. Dear. Lord.

Hercules needs to intern for y'all and learn a thing or two about Effort. Im not even a third of the way through and have already found three that clearly need more vitamin D and year-round exercise, the kind of which only South Florida can provide...

  5. Definitely top blog site I go to first, and many times only. This group of cars is amazing. Quite a few were pretty cool and not bad bargains.

You guys need to keep this level of humor, wit and excellent car chops even after some multinational communications syndicate buys you out and you are literally phoning it in from Fiji.

Here's to your next 4 years. Most days the cars are irrelevant. I came for the cars and stayed for the yucks. Far too of them around these days. Peace Out.
