1965 Chevrolet Firetruck

Get a little reckless in the garage from time to time? Get the itch to start your own for-profit fire department? Find this 1965 Chevrolet Fire Truck on craigslist on John’s Island, SC for a completely undisclosed price.  This post is part of DT's 2016 Birthday Celebration of 100 cars; enjoy the ride!

Although this behemoth has the she’s-real-fine 409, it does have a few tons of pumps, ladders, and sloshing water to deal with moving.

See a better fire sale?

Matt, a self-proclaimed bottom-feeder of the classic car market, spends half of his time buying cars, half of his time retrieving them, and the remaining third on keeping them on the road.

  1. Aw, she's real fine my 409.

Now someone just needs to turn up a GMC truck with one of the 702ci V12s. That was a very unique sounding truck engine. Parts availability tends toward the eBay-and-pray end of the spectrum, though.
