Maybelline: 1955 Ford 2-Door Club

In 1955 Ford introduced a new stylish full sized sedan to keep up with Chevrolet's fast selling Bel Air, but it was mostly similar to the 1952 Ford under the skin.  The base engine was the Mileage Maker 6, but you could pay a few more bucks to get a V8 -- however, today's example has a much more modern Ford V8 under the hood.  Find this 1955 Ford 2-Door Club offered for $16,500 located in Cape Coral, FL via craigslist.  Tip from dascpcu.

Today's '55 Ford is offered in an interesting paint job -- a two tone pink/black that is perfect for the little lady in your life.  I always wonder if these kind of ladies customs aren't much more than a clever ruse by the buyer/owner to convince his wife/daughter that the car is for her...when the truth is a bit closer to home.

This pepto pink beauty is powered by a Ford 302 V8 from a 60s or 70s Ford and it is certainly a more powerful and reliable replacement to the original 50s boat anchor.  If you are concerned with originality, you probably wouldn't be looking at a pink car with Maybelline painted on the side.

See another car for the little lady?

  1. "Exterior color is black and pink, interior is pink and black." I got a kick out of that...
A little cleaning up and you might have a pretty nice cruiser.

  2. Break out the pompadour and the hair cream. Nice old rig.
