What Am I? A Thing

It is Monday morning in cyberspace, so time for Fleetwood T Brougham to solve DT's What Am I?  puzzle as he has done for the past few weeks.  I think this one is a real doozy, humdinger, the cat's pajamas -- so surprise me, solve the riddle.

What car are we looking at? Comments below.

  3. It's the inside of some kind of outside piece, held in place by a bunch of studs and nuts. That's about as far as I'm going with it.

  4. I see the letters W-e-s... it's a Westfalia - maybe

I really thought it was the outside of an inside piece, like a cover over where the thingamajig goes through if you order the Performance Sunroof and Refrigerated Glovebox Summer Fun Package

  6. Some kind of cooling ductwork on the inside of the engine access hatch of a VW Westfalia. I think the black pins hold on the Volkswagen badge onto the other side of the hatch...

  7. I need hints! It looks like some sort of vent under the hood of a truck or maybe under the floor pan or a car. Make and model...stumped.

  10. Its gotta be a 1971-73 Mustang with Ramair option. Photo below at this link: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mGi9hM9N-g0/Ul4TCtEmtpI/AAAAAAAAELw/NbJwQuCE7mA/s1600/1971-ford-Mach-1-one-owner-grabber-green-351-ram-air-hood.jpg

At first I was thinking big flat truck hood, but only the modern ones have vents or scoops. And the modern ones have all sorts of reinforcements. So I thought vintage, white, dual scoops, ram air....and the Mustang came up.

I await the praise and glory!
