It's Monday morning, which means time for another episode of What Am I?, the weekly visual quiz show where DT's readers flex their collective muscle and identify the oddball in the picture.

    1. Rich, Yup -- it's a 1600 Baur Targa as FTB pointed out below. Good job -- Vince

    2. Thanks...I've liked the Baur cars for a long time, although I suspect they take some of the tightness and lightness out of the BMW 02 experience. There should, however, be a special award for FTB for courageous searching of the internet. I think I might have tetanus from looking at that ad, and I've picked at the flaking door-bottom of E12s and 02s and been no worse for that. Wow.

  2. 100% gut guess... 60's Ford convertible of some kind - if it was a Mustang, someone would know, so I'll wing it with... Comet

  3. The seat texture looks VW to me?

I'd recognize that upholstery anywhere, after restuffing the rear seat on my 2002. Here you go.

    2002 Convertible

    1. Sorry should have labeled my link 1600.

  5. FTB -- nice job! Technically Rich beat you to it with his comment, but you found the actual car, so kudos for that! -Vince
