Go for the gold: 2007 Honda Gold Wing

For this week's Two Wheel Tuesday (how original) we visit the mother of all touring bikes.  Honda brought out their Gold Wing tourer in 1974 and by the time this 5th generation Gold Wing was manufactured in 2007, it weighed in at 800lbs, was over 8 feet long, powered by a 1.8 liter flat 6 making 117 hp and could be outfitted with ABS, a reverse gear, sat nav, mp3 player and even an airbag!  Find this 2007 Honda Gold Wing for sale in Santa Rosa, CA for $12,500 via craigslist.

Think the Gold Wing isn't deserving of a Bald Eagle head in front of the waving Stars and Stripes? Think again.  The first generation of the GL-1800 model Gold Wing was built in Marysville, Ohio from 2001 - 2010. The tooling was packed up and shipped to Japan and the second generation GL-1800 was built in Japan from 2012 until today.

Breaker, breaker Good Buddy, this bike also comes with the optional Honda 40 channel CB radio with Hondaline antenna.  Plus it has been ladled with chrome.  The ad lists 10 options with chrome in the description plus the last entry in the list, "lots of chrome".  No mention of how much Simichrome you will need to procure.

Hey look!  Another Eagle!  Even Honda motorcycles were susceptible to the Altezza light craze.  The lights and spoiler combo was apparently a $300 option.
