Maximum Sunday: 1983 Datsun 810 Maxima

The final entry for Maximum Sunday is a classic rear-drive sedan from the Datsun era.  The first generation Maxima was badged as the Datsun 810, later Datsun Maxima, and finally Nissan Maxima.  This was the only generation of Maxima to be rear-wheel-drive and shared many components with the 910 series Bluebird.  Find this 1983 Datsun Maxima (by Nissan) here on eBay offered for $7,890 with 7 days go, located in Canton, GA.

This is a pile of greenbacks for an '83 Maxima, but this is a low mile cream puff survivor, with only 37k miles on the odometer.  It is powered by a 2.4 liter L24E single overhead cam inline-6 good for 120 horsepower and 134 ft-lbs of torque (although I've seen other numbers quoted too...) and mated to a 4-speed slushbox.  Plan ahead.

Hope you enjoyed Maximum Sunday.  Send in some tips! tips@dailyturismo.com

    1. LOL! Good one, Sean!
Paul's return key must be stuck, or mild case of tourette syndrome, as he always seems to post in triplicate...
