What Am I? Hot In Here

Welcome to another edition of DT's cure for the Monday morning blues -- What Am I? We find a random picture of a car and you get to guess what it is. Last week featured a picture of the inside of a Mosler Consulier GTP from K2 Mystery Car's personal collection of grainy artsy photos that was solved by Doug. Today, its back to another engine bay picture from a random car listing, but can you tell what it is?

Comments below.

Update -- wow, that was quicker than I expected.  Good job to Arthur Richardson for spotting the BMW powered DeTomaso Guara, located here on eBay.

The Guara is a limited production (1 of 50?) sports car from the twisted mind of Alejandro de Tomaso.  This is one of a handful of Barchetta versions built, which in an old Sicilian dialect means "bug appetizer."

  4. It was featured on BaT a little while back...

  5. I got as far as 'BMW M60/M62 V8' and by that time Arthur had already lined it over the left-field fence.

  6. Barchetta means little boat, right? Can't tell when you are kidding about 5 percent of the time here....

  7. OK, Dah, now I get it. No windshield.....took me until I came back to the sight.
