What Am I? Wheelie Easy

Welcome to another edition of DT's cure for the Monday morning blues -- What Am I?  In this better than a vegan Thanksgiving dinner game we find a random picture of a car and you get to guess what it is.  Last week's puzzle was a picture of a camouflaged Jaguar XF that was solved quickly by sharp eyed readers, but the discussion went on for a while. This week it is time to get back to basics, just a close up of a rear wheel.  Just what am I anyway?

Update:  As pointed out by several readers below,  this is a 1967 Mercury Comet Cyclone GT offered here on eBay.

  2. Yeah, '66-67 Fairlane, what looks to be a 14in American Torq-Thrust D wheel with painted spokes, BFG TA rim protector.

    1. I suppose if you drove a Comet these days you'd have to have a little thing that looks like an ESA space probe bouncing back and forth in your rear window.

    2. You determined the correct model, I just searched ebay. It was I think the 2nd listing that came up.

Although... yes I do in fact have way too much time on my hands.
