Mid Week Match-Up: Find Santa Claus A New Ride

It is the Wednesday, so that means it's time for another edition of Daily Turismo's weekly game of moose polo also known as Mid Week Match-Up! Last week we tried to find an unrealistically cheap E30 M3 for Dominic, but mostly found regular 325s for his price range.  Today, we throw caution out the window and open the budget up to unlimited -- because this time the potential buyer is an independently wealthy international businessman with CIA connections.

Let's face it, Santa needs a new ride.  He has been cruising around in a sleigh for longer than he should, and a used Army Jeep isn't going to cut it for potential climate and toy hauling requirements.

The best I could find in a quick search is this 1997 Chevrolet Mark III Van Conversion offered here on eBay currently bidding for $10,600 with 1 day to go.  The van will offer plenty of room for toys for good boys & girls, plus the exterior is already decorated in mythological creatures -- perfect for another super natural beast.

What do you suggest for Santa?  Comments below.

You need a little bit of room for his gig, you know. Lots of ground to cover.

    1. The Ecto 1 works great for the Santa who moonlights as an exorcist in the off season.

  3. If that won't get him to the chimney on time, something like this ought to have the legs he needs:

And if he needs something a little specialized to get in and out of dodgy neighborhoods, one of these might do the job with appropriate cargo pods:

    1. The Cobra Gunship is a winner. Need to find an aftermarket set of whisper quiet fan blades and you can land on rooftops without waking the occupants. Just be quick in/out of the chimney because the ground effect can make your chopper crash.

  4. In the small town where I live there is a guy who keeps the santa look going all year round. He wears "normal" clothes though, but I've even heard kids in the grocery store during July saying "look mom it's santa!" He drives a PT cruiser with the side profile of a sleigh done in vinyl on the side. Now I hate PT's with a passion, but in this application it actually works. Wish I had a photo to share.

    1. Mrs. Claus won't be caught dead in that. Seller has the same problem with his missus.

But then again, so many things have changed since I was a kid, maybe Mrs. Claus has that Cherry Bomb logo inked as a tramp stamp on her lower back, so who the hell knows. Maybe you did find it, AD.

    3. Yes, as with the blue/silver wizard wagon above, purchase of this vehicle should automatically enroll the buyer into a sex offender watch list.

  7. I think Santa would appreciate something with enough room to pack in all the presents... and maybe even have extra room for a pit crew of elves. How about this thing...
