5k: Wild Rover: 1991 Sterling 827 SL

The Sterling 827 was a rebadged Rover 800 series, which was in truth designed and developed by Honda and shared many parts with the Acura Legend.  There was a time when it was common to see a Sterlings on the road in the US, but today they are rarely seen driving around anywhere.  Find this 1991 Sterling 827 SL for sale in Concordia, KS for $6,500 via craigslist.  Tip from Andy L.

The Sterling 827 is powered by a  2.7 liter Acura V6 that puts out 177 horsepower into the front wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission.  The US market Sterlings were assembled at a Honda factory in Japan, so they aren't as bad as you might expect from something that is associated with British Leyland from the 1990s.  Many mechanical parts (engine, trans, steering, suspension) are shared with the Acura Legend, but the body, interior, electrical components are all Sterling specific - so try and get one that isn't missing any trim parts.
