5k Mayan Carpocalypse: 2002 Nissan Xterra Supercharged Zombie Proof Truck

Today is December 21, 2012 - what is supposed to be the end of the world and while some spend the day hunkered down holding our pillows - it could be a great time to pickup a car...or take out a huge loan.  (Side note:  the apocalypse will be foreshadowed by a exponential increase in short term lending rates because the devil won't let his bankers lose that much money -- ergo, the world won't end today).  Prepare for the apocalypse with this 2002 Nissan Xterra Supercharged SE with Zombie proofing currently offered on ebay for $7,500 or best offer.

Today is the end of a cycle of the 5125 year Mesoamerican long count calendar and therefore the loonies are out in mass. Not quite the 'out in mass' like the builder of this Xterra had in mind, but all kinds of interesting people making this solstice more interesting than most.  The Xterra is also more interesting than most and deserves a closer look.

Upon closer inspection is looks like this Nissan has been outfitted with a brush guard with nasty sharpened pieces of metal pipe - which probably goes a long way to explaining all of the bloody hand prints.  It looks like the  driver has been playing a few rounds of the 1997 PC classic video game Carmageddon.  In truth this car was used by District of the Dead, a professional haunted house in Buffalo, NY.

This Mayan Carpocalypse survival vehicle is powered by a 3.3 liter V6 with a roots type supercharger pushing out 210 horsepower and 246 ft-lbs of torque.  Power gets pushed to all 4 wheels via a 5 speed automatic transmission, and the Xterra is a fairly capable 4WD vehicle with right tires and driver.

Unfortunately the chain link fencing on the windows is fake, but we would consider a similar technique for our future apocalypse vehicles.  Overall the interior is in decent condition for the 135k miles on the chassis and wouldn't be a bad place to live post doomsday.

This Xterra does have a few miles on it and it looks like the District of the Dead folks will deliver it without graphics so you don't get too much attention from your local PD.
